Benefits of being a PDA Member
Dear Member, Welcome to the Petaluma Downtown Association! By joining our organization, you become part of a community of businesses, property owners, and individuals who are committed to maintaining the historic downtown as an active and dynamic retail center. It is only through the effort and commitment of people like you that our organization can accomplish its goals. Our Mission: "To enhance and contribute to the betterment of The Petaluma Historic Central Area and to enhance its position as the city's retail and commercial center."
The Association Board establishes goals as a result of input from our membership, but much of our work is accomplished by active committees including: Beautification, Marketing, Antique, Parking, Membership and Property Owners. These committees depend upon the volunteer work of members, and I hope that you will attend committee meetings that you are interested in. We are currently working on bringing you a quarterly online newsletter which will include a schedule of important events and meetings, and will report regularly on the activities of the committees, as well as on the activities of the board. Thank you for contributing to a healthy historic downtown. Sincerely, Karla Schikore, President 2011-2012 Petaluma Downtown Association Membership Protection Policy: If any Member reasonably believes that some policy, practice, or activity of the Petaluma Downtown Association (PDA) is in violation of law, a written complaint must be filed by that employee with the Executive Director or the Board President.
