The Petaluma Downtown Association invites you to join us at the Petaluma Historical Museum (20 4th Street) on Saturday, April 20th from noon to 1pm to applaud and thank Petaluma's 2019 Good Eggs - John Sheehy & Scott Hess, and cheer the 2019 Grand Marshal - Clo the Cow, as we count down the days to the Butter & Egg Days Parade!
Centered around the theme that “It’s Always Punny in Petaluma,” the Petaluma Downtown Association is proud to announce the V.I.Peeps for the 2019 Butter & Egg Days Parade and Festival.
Serving as the cereMOOnial head of the parade with the title of grand marshal will be Petaluma’s Queen of Puns, Clo the Cow. The iconic and always grinning mascot for Clover Sonoma made her debut on a billboard 50 years ago. In the following years, Clo the Cow’s creative puns have reminded us that there is a lot to smile about when you live in such a beautiful and bountiful part of the world.
Recipients of the 2019 Good Egg Award are historian and author John Sheehy and photographer Scott Hess who combined their talents to produce the best-selling “On a River Winding Home.” As noted by 2016 Good Egg Lindy Brown in her nomination form, these “double yolks” “have had a dramatic impact in promoting local pride in Petaluma and beyond.”
Mayor Teresa Barrett will read a proclamation honoring the Grand Marshal and Good Egg at the Opening Ceremonies.
