Because The Petaluma Downtown Association is a non profit 501c(6), we rely on our community to help us put on our events.  Every year during Butter & Egg Days we utilize over 240 volunteers to do everything from monitoring the streets to staging the parade.  So whether it's Butter & Eggs, Art & Garden or being a Merchant Board Member, we could not exist without volunteers.  We invite you to be a part of that volunteerism and help us make Downtown shine!

We need volunteers for the 36th Annual Butter & Egg Days Parade! Download the form here or stop by the Petaluma Visitors Program from 10-4pm 7 Sunday-Saturday.


Bring a team of 10 or more employees to participate in the town’s most beloved event as we celebrating Petaluma’s ingenious makers, innovative entrepreneurs, producers and inventors from our past and present.  The “Maker” theme gives us the opportunity to honor our community of creative, curious people that make Petaluma shine! Join us and rediscover the value of team building and community involvement as the 25,000 parade attendees rediscover your company! Imagine your company logo on the back of our 250 volunteer shirts, a special shout out featured on our Facebook page, and your logo on our website for the entire month of April; we will even publicly express our gratitude on parade day at the judge’s booth! ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER BY MAY 28TH, 2016! The event will take place on MAY 28th, 2016 from 12pm to 6pm at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds at 175 Fairgrounds Dr. We take care of our volunteers with T-shirts, snacks, libation and a whole lotta beer event fun!


Please indicate your 1st - 3rd preferences for shifts below or that you will fill in where needed. We'll need help with general setup, vendor check in, Home brewer check in, tent set up, break down, taking tickets, wrist banding, etc.


Please note, we will try to accommodate your preference but cannot guarantee you will get the duties and shifts you prefer. We will contact you with your final volunteer duties by April 25th, 2016. Please respond ASAP.


Shift #1 - 7am to 11am
Shift #2 - 10am to 2pm
Shift #3 - 2pm to 6pm
Shift #4 - 4pm to end (7-8pm)
